SpectraPrecision Geodimeter System Tools (SP GST)
SpectraPrecision Geodimeter System Tools ( SP GST) is an application to upload, download and edit Geodimeter surveying data files. GST is useful with Geodimeter instruments and data only.
Geodimeter Software Tools 2.02 runs on Windows 95, 98, Me, NT 4 Service Pack 4, 2000 and XP. GeoTool is a variation of GST that can include GeoModel for digital terrain modelling.
The Geodimeter brand was purchased by SpectraPrecision which was then purchased by Trimble Navigation.
SP GST 2.02 superseded Geodimeter Software Tools 2.01 for Windows and Geodimeter Software Tools 1.0 for DOS. Trimble Terramodel and Trimble Data Transfer Utility (installed together) superseded Geodimeter GST 2.02, GeoTool and GeoModel.
Geodimeter Software Tools 2.02 was supplied with these CDs:
- SpectraPrecision Geodimeter Software Tools
- SpectraPrecision Terramodel 9.7
- Trimble Terramodel 9.8
- Geocomp 10
- Geocomp Systems September 2001
and with Geocomp Updates K and M.
Check the unit settings after you install GST. For example, you might want to change the angle units from grads to DMS.
You may need to rename your data files including extensions, and therefore configure Windows Explorer to not hide file extensions.
If you have installed both GST 2.02 and Terramodel 10.61 with Geocomp Update K or later, you can also launch GST by entering GST at the Terramodel command line.

GST, Data Transfer Utility and Terramodel Field data module will run without a SpectraPrecision or Trimble Sentinel security key. If these applications detect any such key, any licenced modules on the key are enabled, according to the following table.
